Key Research Findings

  • Stable in gastric juice — widely studied via both oral and parenteral routes in animal models.

  • Upregulates growth hormone receptor expression in tendon fibroblasts.

  • Modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission in CNS research models.

  • Demonstrated gastroprotective effects in NSAID-induced ulcer models.

RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION

Administration Reference

In research models, subcutaneous administration near the site of injury has been explored to maximise local bioavailability. Common sites studied include the abdomen, outer thigh, and deltoid region. Intramuscular administration into the vastus lateralis is also documented. Rotate sites between administrations. Standard insulin syringes (29–31G, 4–8 mm) are appropriate for reconstituted peptide solutions.
